Michelle Johnston, founder of WorkingWell, is one of Canada’s healthy workplace pioneers. At the age of 24, after suffering from workplace-related burnout, Michelle left her corporate job to pursue a career more suited toward her natural talents and abilities. In 2004 she formally launched WorkingWell, a company focused on the improving the quality of lives of people at work.

As the head of WorkingWell, Michelle collaborates with an extensive team of health and wellness experts, across the country, to deliver corporate wellness programs. She knows that companies have a better chance at realizing their profit potentials, if employees are supported to have work-life balance, to feel good about their abilities, and the work they produce.

Michelle is an inspirational leader, who understands the needs of the Canadian workforce. Her company is driven to create dynamic, enriching, and healthy workplace environments.

Her workplace wellness programs have been instrumental in assisting organizations such as the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Ontario achieve consistent ranking as one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers. She helps organizations use wellness as a strategy in tough economic times, to gain the loyalty and trust of employees.

Michelle holds a degree in Anthropology from the University of Toronto, and is currently working toward her designation as a Registered Nutritional Consulting Practitioner.
